No Stupid Questions Show

"I'm pissed off, MAN!" Its hard to keep your cool when you are caught between being a target for racial injustice and COVID-19 suffering.   Publishing this on Juneteenth, it is s must listen episode as both JAG and TLeake openly share their on-the-edge feelings on racial injustice in the midst of COVID-19.  They discuss which makes them more upset, angry or "pissed off to the highest level of pisstivity."  Each explains their reasons why and both muse on what can be done about it.  Listen in as they share their thoughts, feelings, questions and pains.  Share your feelings and suggestions based on your personal strategies.

JAG and TLeake take the opportunity at this moment in time to begin a new series on Law and Order and the Black Community.  We are living in historic times and, appropriately, JAG and TLeake have brought in the big guns to kick off the first show of this historic series.  As their first guest ever on the show, they have invited former 4 Star Chief, NYPD, Joseph Leake to discuss what it might take to fix the relationship between the Black Community and Police.  Listen as JAG challenges and TLeake probes our guest and his 30+ years experience with the NYPD on the rift between the two and if it can be healed.  Learn about "the blue line" and what it might take to cross from us in order to fix the relationship.  Share with us your thoughts and feedback on this first in a new series of conversations.

Against the backdrop of COVID-19, an installment of No Stupid Questions Show that looks more broadly at the world we are living in.  Jag and TLeake discuss alternative realities (and truths) and ponder the question of whether we live in a "post-fact" world and if that is an ugly pimple on the face of society that needs to be popped.  Motivated by the nightmare of the potential havoc caused by disbelief of or disregard for facts, with the help of a few insights from Malcolm Gladwell's books, Jag and TLeake opine on where we are, how we got there, how it has (or has not?) changed over time AND offer actions we can take to wake up from the nightmare with a clear face.  Are we living in a post-facts society? In this fourth installment in the COVID-19 "Stay-at-home" series, TLeake and JAG discuss whether we should allow concern for the economy trump concern for health, what is right and how current decisionmaking fits.  Tune in to see if your answer matches theirs (they agree in this episode!) and if you agree with their resolution.

The Equality Index appears biannually, the next scheduled for 2020.

In Part 3 of NSQ's series on COVID-19, TLeake and JAG discuss whether Black people die when America "catches" coronavirus.  Sprinkle some comments in from the Surgeon General, a rant by Amber Ruffin (Late Night with Seth Meyers) and you have a show where your hosts discuss what it takes to address the disparities in COVID-19 outcomes in Black communities.
